Distributed File Systems: Distributed File Systems (DFS) are specifically designed to deal with large amounts of data. In DFS, data is distributed across multiple nodes in the cluster, and each node can access a portion of the data. This approach enables large datasets to be stored across multiple nodes, providing scalability and fault-tolerance. Additionally, DFS can harness the power of multiple nodes to process data, increasing overall throughput. However, setting up and maintaining a DFS can be complex, and specialized knowledge is required to ensure optimum performance. Nevertheless, DFS is an essential data loading mechanism in HPC systems that require high scalability and performance.
